Just Another Day...

Today has been a day for some steps in the right direction and a few small steps backwards. As you can see, she's back under the bili lights - cute girl looks like she's in her own tanning bed! Goggles and all. Our little "bug" is back. But on the plus side, she is off her IV nutrition and at "goal" feeds, plus she's gaining weight! She's almost back up to her birth weight - we'll make her a fatty eventually!

One downer from today, her raw nose is getting worse...enough that the Wound Team will have to see her in the morning. Darn that Cpap!

(Look at our girl stretch, she's got some serious length to her! Any bets she'll take after her daddy?)

I love all of the progress that she is making! What a trooper. I'm so sorry to hear about her sore nose! That just breaks my heart. Hopefully the wound team can do something to make that feel better for you.

Thinking about you and praying for you and Brooklyn.

Ashlee Thanks for keeping this amazing journal. All of Seth's children were early (not this early) but several weeks early, and be too always felt a little cheated that we couldn't to the regular baby things either.. but as I see the blessings each of these beautiful kids have given to all of us. you too will get those blessings. One of the first is to know you have them forever and you can't beat that.. the other is that you probably never knew you had such an ability to love...unconditionally forever too. Your an angel and I think about you all the time, you are in my prayers. It is funny to see that Baby gardner only has 71 days to go, hope she gets home before that. Love you Ashlee

Ashlee, she is so cute, I haven't been on-line for a few days, but every post you make makes me cry! You are so strong and she is so lucky to be your mommy! I am so glad that she is doing well. Take care. Love, Nat

P.S. I think that she looks like Roger! ;)

Oh Ashlee, she is doing so great! Really! I just updated myself with all of your recent posts. That is so fun you got to help with her bath. So sad about her little nose. Darn it! Don't you love the bili lights? On and off and on and off! But that's awesome that she's off her IV! Is she off the IV completely, or just for nutrition? Maybe you meant specifically that.
She will be nice and plump soon! It will just take a few more months...check out my little chubby faced girl! :) I didn't think it would ever happen either!

Hey Ash - coming by from Meg's blog. With her in town, I was able to catch up on the latest with Brooklyn.

She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! And by some of the videos - she is a fighter. Sending good thoughts and lots of love!
