89 Days Later...

She's home!!

Leaving our home away from home.....

We will forever be in their debt, they saved her life.

In the carseat, on the way home. Probably the MOST SILENT drive we've ever taken together. We were scared speechless.

Taking in her new surroundings...

Some visitors......

The "O" shape of her mouth means she's happy/content the therapist tell us. This does our hearts good.

Sorry I kept you up last night mom and dad. :)

Our first night???

Not so bad. Could have been worse. What was sleep again?

Brooklyn got up at 2:00am and 5:00 am. We were up until 2:00 anyway listening to her breathe and listening for her monitor to go off. I think we both flew out of bed about 8 times, just to have the monitor stop beeping as we were standing up to run into her room. Lovely.

Overall? We. Are. Thrilled. (And a little sleepy today.....)

Yay!! Ashlee, I am so glad you guys are home! That is awesome. Now the REAL work begins for you guys! Eventually you might be sad you have that O2 sat monitor...he he. That would be a little scary to bring her home though. Hopefully she doesn't hold her breath!! She is a doll!

I kept checking today to see if you were going to update about how the first night went. I am so glad to hear that it went well for her! I am also impressed that you found time to update today already instead of taking a nap :) Congratulations!

She actually has cute little chubby cheeks! I don't think I would have gotten much sleep either. Hopefully it gets better! I am so excited that you are all safely home now! Now the real fun begins!

I know exactly what you mean!! When we brought Grant home, we had him sleeping right next to our bed where I could keep a hand on him all night to make sure i could feel him breathing. We turned off the monitor after a few nights because of all of the false alarms...that way, I could just reach over all night long. Hopefully she will keep behaving so that you will gain more confidence with her. Hopefully some of your great family will come hold her so you can sleep during the day!

Oh, you'll get used to functioning on little to no sleep for the first little bit. But no worries, it gets better! Ash, do you get some time off to be home with her? Who will watch her while you work?

I'm so happy for you guys!!! How fun to finally have her home... I'm sure all of the new surroundings will take some getting used to. She is such a doll :) I'm glad Megan was able to come up and visit. P.S.- you're home is beautiful from what I could see in the background.

What a relief it must be to finally have her home! I'm so glad she gets to be with you now instead of in a hospital!!! She is so cute :)
